Businesses are invited to visit New Zealand to discover the possibilities for closer collaboration between biotechnology medical researchers and product developers.
NZ Bio Conference will take place between 31 March and 2 April, and will focus on potential research collaborations and commercial opportunities in wound care, regenerative medicines, medical devices and animal vaccines.
The conference features specific sessions on licensing, collaboration, business partnering, taking ideas to market, nutrition and health, new health solutions and the latest medical technology and diagnostics developments in New Zealand.
It will also feature a break-out session on UK-NZ opportunities, where businesses have the opportunity to showcase their work and learn about the work of others.
A workshop will also take place the following day to bring together researchers and product developers from New Zealand and the UK who work in this field. The objective of the workshop is to let researchers and commercial developers explore the potential for collaboration in this field.
Lord Digby Jones, Minister for Trade and Investment, plans to be in New Zealand during the event, and hopes to meet with participants.
A visit to coincide with the conference and workshop is being organised by UK Trade & Investment and the British High Commission in Wellington, New Zealand.
Anyone interested in attending should speak to their local international trade adviser for further advice. Please contact us to arrange this.
