Entries invited for prestigious regional business awards

The Yorkshire Post has launched its Excellence in Business Awards 2008 to recognise the vast range of skills and commercial talent across the region.

The awards are open to firms of every size – including start-ups, multi-nationals, university spin-outs and massive commercial projects – and include an award for Exporter of the Year.

The categories are:

• Young Business of the Year
• Companies with turnover under £10m
• Companies with turnover between £10-50m
• Companies with turnover above £50m
• University spin-out company
• Exporter of the Year
• Innovation of the Year
• Project Award
• Individual Award
• Best company to work for

The awards are supported by Yorkshire Forward, Yorkshire Bank, PricewaterhouseCoopers and DLA Piper and will culminate in a black tie dinner in Leeds on Friday October 17.
